Shortcuts: Will Arnett And Michael Shannon Join ‘Jonah Hex’, ‘Clash Of The Titans’ Finds Its Princess Andromeda

Arrested Development alum Will Arnett and Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon (“Revolutionary Road”) have joined the comic book adaptation, “Jonah Hex.” They join Megan Fox, Josh Brolin and John Malkovich in the Jimmy Hayward (“Horton Hears A Who”) helmed film. Arnett is set to play a union soldier who enlists Hex while Shannon will portray Doc Cross Williams, the bizarre ringleader of a brutal gladiator circus event. This film project may have just become more than tolerable. [THR]

Idris Elba (“RockNRolla,” “The Wire”) is closing in on a role in “Losers,” a Warner Brothers – Dark Castle film that has Jeffrey Dean Morgan in the lead role. Elba is in line to play Roque, a black ops commando set up by the government. [EW’s Hollywood Insider]

A grieving Liam Neeson has returned and completed work on the Atom Egoyan-directed film “Chloe,” co-starring Julianne Moore. Filming was temporarily delayed after the tragic and sudden death of Neeson’s wife, Natasha Richardson. [Yahoo Movies]

The cast for Louis Leterrier’s “Clash Of The Titans” is starting to shape up. With Sam Worthington and Gemma Arteton previously announced as Perseus and Io, Alexa Davalos (“Defiance”) and Mad Mikkelson (“Casino Royale”) have joined the cast as Princess Andromeda and Draco respectively. The capture of Davalos’s character is the catalyst for protagonist Perseus’ journey. [THR]

Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor’s upcoming film “Game” has been retitled to “Citizen Game.” The first promo picture for the film has also been released. [Ropes Of Silicon]
