Adrien Brody Joins Woody Allen's Star-Studded Romantic Drama 'Midnight In Paris'

Adrien Brody has joined the already star-studded cast of Woody Allen’s upcoming romantic drama, “Midnight In Paris.”

The actor reunites with his Wes Anderson compatriot Owen Wilson and joins the likes of Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard, Kathy Bates, Michael Sheen, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy and Tom Hiddleston in what is being described as a “flashy” role in Allen’s final picture in the three-film deal with Spanish financiers, Mediapro.

The story centers on a family traveling to the French capital for business with a young engaged couple in the party that are “forced to confront the illusion that a life different from their own is better.” It sounds very much in line with the signature Allen sensibility and with talented leads in Wilson and McAdams, who will presumably play the young American couple, and a stellar supporting cast topped by Nina Arianda, Corey Stoll, Mimi Kennedy and Kurt Fullerby; we’re admittedly more excited by this than most of Allen’s recent work.

Shooting will begin this summer with the film probably a good bet to end up at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.
