Based on the book series by Anna Todd, the ‘After’ franchise follows the life of Tessa Young (Josephine Langford), a recent high school graduate, as she embarks on her new college life. But when Tessa meets complex rebel Hardin Scott (Hero Fiennes Tiffin), everything in her life begins to change. So yeah, typical YA, really.

Here’s the official synopsis:

The fourth film of the AFTER franchise finds Tessa and Hardin at a crossroads: Does Tessa continue trying to save him and their relationship, or is it time to save herself? While Hardin remains in London after his mother’s wedding and sinks deeper into darkness, Tessa returns to Seattle and endures a tragedy. If they want their love to survive, they’ll need to work on themselves first. But will their paths lead them back to each other?

Langford is the younger sister of Katherine Langford (“13 Reasons Why”). She will be starring in the upcoming project “The Other Zoey” by director Sara Zandieh, known for movies such as “Good Girls” and “A Simple Wedding.” Fans from the “Harry Potter” franchise may recognize Hero from the sixth movie “Half-Blood Prince” as Tom Riddle, but he’s also a rising YA star.

The entire cast includes Langford, Tiffin, Chance Pedromo, Stephen Moyer, Mira Sorvino, Carter Jenkins, Arielle Kebbel, Frances Turner, Kiana Madeira, Louise Lombard, and Rob Estes. “After Ever Happy” will premiere in theaters on September 7, 2022. Watch the new trailer below.
