EW confirmed through sources at Lucasfilm that the “Boba Fett” film, which has been in development dating back to 2015 when Josh Trank was attached to direct, is no longer in development, for now. The report does leave open the option for Lucasfilm to come back around to the film, however unlikely that might be.

The report also goes into detail about what the film would have been like, saying, “The movie would have focused on Fett and the menagerie of bounty hunters who appeared alongside him on the deck of a Star Destroyer in ‘The Empire Strikes Back.’”
