New David O. Russell Film Adds Robert De Niro, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Michael Shannon & Many More

David O. Russell seems to have tapped most of Hollywood for his upcoming new feature film as Deadline reports a massive new wave of casting additions for the New Regency project. Plot details are been kept under wraps for the untitled movie, but it’s based on an original idea from David, which must have been compelling enough to bag this many top-shelf actors.

Those latest names revealed for the untitled film’s expansive cast include Robert De Niro, Mike Myers, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Shannon, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts, and Alessandro Nivola. The size of their roles wasn’t mentioned in the report.

O. Russell’s film, once rumored to be called “Amsterdam,” already has a stacked A-list cast featuring Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Rami Malek, and Zoe Salanda.

This will be O. Russell’s first feature film project since Jennifer Lawrence‘s “Joy” in 2015. Surely the director and New Regency are banking on this film nabbing some serious awards consideration based on the casting alone. We’ll be eagerly waiting to hear the official plot details that have attracted this high-volume of talent for a single movie.
