It honestly wouldn’t be your fault if you never heard of “Die Hart.” Even though the first season stars Kevin Hart and John Travolta, it debuted on Quibi. Remember that experiment? Well, like so many of the Quibi shows, it was eventually picked up and repackaged over at The Roku Channel. Now, hoping that someone remembers the show, Hart is back with Season 2, titled “Die Hart 2: Die Harter.”
As seen in the trailer, “Die Hart 2: Die Harter” follows the story from Season 1, which features Kevin Hart playing a fictionalized version of himself who wants to be an action star. In Season 1, he went to learn from John Travolta’s character. Now, in Season 2, he’s hoping to officially launch his action film career but finds himself smack dab in the middle of a real-life action adventure.
Joining Kevin Hart in the new season are Nathalie Emmanuel, John Cena, Ben Schwartz, and Paula Pell. Once again, as with Season 1, ‘Die Hart 2’ is written by Tripper Clancy and directed by Eric Appel. The latter of which just had a huge hit on The Roku Channel with “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.”

Here’s the synopsis:
After achieving his dream of becoming a bona fide action hero in DIE HART, Kevin Hart now wants to cement his legacy as the greatest action star of all time. He’s developed a concept for a revolutionary movie where the action is so unscripted and unexpected that even Kevin won’t know what’s coming next. But Kevin’s myopic dream comes with a blind spot, and he soon finds himself the victim of an evil revenge plot, orchestrated by someone from his past. Kevin must enlist the help of his favorite co-star Jordan King (Nathalie Emmanuel, returning for season 2), his over-eager assistant Andre (Ben Schwartz), Andre’s mom Cynthia (Paula Pell), and legendary Hollywood stuntman Mr. 206 (John Cena) if he wants to survive.
