Final 'Dracula' Trailer: The Legendary Vampire Returns This Week On Netflix

Remember the age of TV when you basically had breaks every now and then between debuts of huge, highly-anticipated series? Well, those days are long gone as the era of Peak TV rules all and with that, a never-ending flood of TV shows that your friends, family, and co-workers will swear that “you must watch!” We’re barely a few days into 2020 and Netflix has the latest series to fit that bill — “Dracula.”

“Wait, Dracula? Seriously?” you might ask. Yes, dear reader, the legendary Bram Stoker tale is back, but this time with a new spin thanks to the creative folks behind the Emmy-winning “Sherlock,” Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss. And perhaps the biggest reason why you should give this new “Dracula” a shot is the title character himself, played by the underrated, and always excellent, Claes Bang.

And given the previous history of Moffat and Gatiss, not only with “Sherlock” but also “Doctor Who,” you’d be right to expect that this horror adaptation isn’t your run-of-the-mill series. The new trailer from Netflix clearly hints at a stylish, almost contemporary take on the source material, while also keeping it very much a period setting.

Will “Dracula” be the first must-see TV series of 2020? With its three-episode length, it’s perfectly binge-able and we’re completely expecting our Netflix homepages to have Bang’s face front-and-center. So, yeah, you’re probably going to end up watching “Dracula.”
