'Fosse/Verdon' Teaser: Sam Rockwell & Michelle Williams Bring The Broadway Power Couple To Life

We don’t have a full trailer just yet, and we definitely haven’t even seen an episode, but it’s clear that Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams are shoe-ins for Emmys for their work in the upcoming “Fosse/Verdon.” Both actors are at the top of their respective acting games, with Williams being nominated for multiple Oscars and Rockwell winning one last year. So, let’s just give them their trophies already.

Sure, it’s probably best to wait and see how “Fosse/Verdon” turns out, first. The FX limited series stars the aforementioned actors as the titular real-life power couple. Fosse being a great filmmaker and choreographer. Verdon the greatest dancer in Broadway history. Together, the found love and plenty of drama on their path to greatness.

“Fosse/Verdon” comes from the minds of Lin-Manuel Miranda and Steven Levenson (“Dear Evan Hansen”). The first episode is directed by Thomas Kail, who is the man behind Miranda’s breakout Broadway hit “In the Heights.”

Joining Williams and Rockwell in the cast are Margaret Qualley and Norbert Leo Butz.

“Fosse/Verdon” is set to premiere on FX on April 9. It’s not ridiculous to say that this series will be one of the most high-profile to hit TV screens all year.
