'Fractured' Trailer: October's Netflix & Chills Arrives With Brad Anderson's New Thriller Starring Sam Worthington

With fall weather just around the corner, it’s time to stay inside and put on a Netflix movie. We’re not talking a “Netflix and chill” night though. The streaming platform has decided to take ownership of the now-famous euphemism and put a spooky spin on it. It’s time for “Netflix and Chills.” In a potential strategy to shake things up with their line of original content, this new branding encompasses Netflix’s offering of original horror movies, including the upcoming “Fractured,”

“Fractured” is a psychological thriller directed by Brad Anderson and written by Alan McElroy. After a road trip results into a visit to the hospital, Ray Monroe’s (Sam Worthington) wife Joanne (Lily Rabe) and daughter Peri (Lucy Capri) vanish without a trace. Ray races to find his family and the reason behind their disappearance. Keep an eye on Netflix for more spooky original television shows and film bound to pop up in the month of “Netflix and Chills.”

Here’s the official synopsis for the film: Driving home after a tense holiday weekend with his in-laws, Ray Monroe (Sam Worthington), a well-meaning but overwhelmed family man, pulls into a rest area with his wife Joanne (Lily Rabe) and daughter Peri (Lucy Capri). The trip takes a turn for the worse when Peri is hurt in an accident and the family rushes to a nearby emergency room run by a staff with dubious intentions. After being sent away for further testing Peri and Joanne vanish and all records of their visit disappear. Ray’s concern turns into a desperate race to find his family and discover the truth of what happened to them.

“Fractured” drops on Netflix globally on October 11. Stephen Tobolowsky (“Schooled”), Adjoa Andoh (“Invictus”), and Lauren Cochrane (“The Pinkertons”) join Worthington and Rabe in “Fractured.” Take a look at the new trailer below.
