Guy Pearce Says Kevin Spacey Was "Handsy" On The Set Of 'L.A. Confidential'

Much like when accusers came forward about Bill Cosby and Harvey Weinstein, the stories about Kevin Spacey’s alleged incidents have been steadily coming in since actor Anthony Rapp claimed Spacey had sexually assaulted him in the ‘80s. Since then, many who have worked with Spacey in the past have come forward with their stories of strange behavior and difficult working conditions with the award-winning actor. The latest to come forward is Guy Pearce, who worked with Spacy on “L.A. Confidential” back in 1997.

Appearing in an upcoming interview with Andrew Denton (via news.com.au), Pearce was asked to give quick stories about people he’s worked with in the past, including Kate Winslet, Kylie Minogue, and of course, Spacey.

When the conversation turns to Spacey, Pearce doesn’t hold back. “Yeah … yeah. Tough one to talk about at the moment. Amazing actor; incredible actor. Mmm. Slightly difficult time with Kevin, yeah,” Pearce says. “He’s a handsy guy.”

“Thankfully I was 29, and not 14,” he continues.

While he didn’t get into any more detail than that, it appears that Pearce didn’t have such a wonderful working relationship with Spacey. It’s also clear that Pearce doesn’t want to expand on it further, instead just giving a hint at what happened. That isn’t to say that there is a lot more to the story, but for Pearce to say “handsy” and “difficult” seems to fit the bill with what other accusers (numbering over a dozen) have said about Spacey.

As you probably already know, after the initial accusations from Rapp, Spacey was subsequently fired from his starring role in Netflix’sHouse of Cards” and was famously cut completely from his role in the Ridley Scott film, “All the Money in the World,” where he was replaced at the last minute by Christopher Plummer, who subsequently was nominated for an Oscar for his performance.
