IFC Re-Releases Christopher Nolan's 'Following' On Demand; DVD Coming From The Criterion Collection

With “Inception” currently blowing minds in multiplexes across the nation, undoubtedly, there will be a number of viewers seeking out Christopher Nolan’s films that aren’t named “The Dark Knight.” With that in mind, IFC is wisely re-releasing Nolan’s debut “Following” via their On Demand.

The low-budget film (made for under $10,000 dollars) concerns a young writer who follows people around London, looking for inspiration for his novel. One day he gets noticed by a master thief named Cobb (sound familiar?) who draws the writer into his lifestyle, and as you might expect, things get a bit hairy. It’s a crackerjack debut that features many of the stylistic and narrative devices Nolan would employ in later films.

Obviously, its worth checking out but if don’t have access to IFC’s On Demand service, don’t worry, the film is on DVD and Criterion confirmed last year they will be issuing the film with wacky C sometime in the future, but a date hasn’t been locked in yet. Check out the trailer for “Following” below.
