John Krasinski Gets 'The Office' Cast Back Together To Recreate One Of The Most Memorable Scenes

If you’re a fan of older NBC comedies, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a bit of a silver lining. First, there was the new “special” from the cast of “Parks & Rec,” filmed with the cast reuniting via Zoom. Then, there’s the upcoming “virtual table read” of an episode of “Community,” featuring the entire cast (including Donald Glover) returning. And now, John Krasinski has done what has seemed impossible, reuniting the cast of “The Office” to recreate one of the most iconic scenes in the series’ history for his Some Good News YouTube channel.

For seven weeks now, Krasinski, who played Jim Halpert on NBC’s hit comedy series, has released new episodes of his makeshift news show called Some Good News, which aims to tell hopeful, joyous stories during a time when the real news is pretty depressing. And one of the stories this week focused on a couple that recreated the famous Jim and Pam engagement scene for their own marriage proposal and was set to get married this weekend. Unfortunately, COVID-19 had other plans and now they’re unable to exchange their vows as planned. But Krasinski decided that he could help by reuniting the cast of “The Office” to re-enact one of the most memorable scenes from Jim and Pam’s wedding, complete with the Chris Brown song and everything.

Folks such as Steve Carell, Mindy Kaling, Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, and Ed Helms were all in attendance in the new version of the wedding scene, as well as just about every other member of the cast. And while it may not be the reunion that “The Office” fans have been waiting for, it is nice to see everyone back just to be silly one more time.
