'Justice League': Scenes From The Trailers Not In The Movie

Not to seem like I’m unduly beating up on “Justice League” (though, it’s fairly easy) when it comes to trailers featuring footage that wasn’t in the finished movie, the crown still belong to “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”  Say what you will about reshoots, but the “Star Wars” spinoff was arguably even more overhauled that the DC Films mess. Still, there was quite a bit featured in the promos for the superhero team-up movie that was left on the cutting room floor.

Screen Crush has selected ten shots from the various trailers for “Justice League” that didn’t make the movie. So, we didn’t see Cyborg’s football playing days, The Flash breaking glass in super slow speed, or Aquaman swimming up to some impossibly murky throne. The biggest omission is the stinger from the Comic-Con sneak peek, which features Jeremy Irons‘ Alfred welcoming the return of a mysterious figure (probably Superman).

While fans are praying for the release of Zack Snyder’s director’s cut of the movie, the odds aren’t in their favor. While he assembled a rough cut, it was not finished, and as Danny Elfman revealed, when he was brought in, Joss Whedon had already put together the cut that went to cinemas. So, is there a loose, unfinished version of Snyder’s original vision? Probably. Are Warner Bros. and DC going to pay for the VFX to be finished, and a new edit and score to be completed? Doubtful. And that’s not to mention that Snyder, who left the film due to a personal tragedy, hasn’t been on the promotional trail at all for the movie. It might be a bitter sting to return after the fact and cobble together what he had intended for a DVD release.

At any rate, you can check out those excerpted promo moments below, but first, a video to take you through every Easter Egg in “Justice League.”
