‘Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend’ Trailer: Frank Grillo Is The Man Trying To Gunning For Racing Immortality

Are rivalries the greatest motivation for success? Few come close to that of automotive legends Ferruccio Lamborghini and Enzo Ferrari. The new film “Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend” explores one man’s quest to achieve racing immortality. It traces Lamborghini’s rise from building tractors to manufacturing a car worthy of running in the Geneva Grand Prix. While becoming a force in Italian automotive history, the film explores the tumult and triumph in his personal life.

Lamborghini’ hails from writer-director Bobby Moresco. The Academy Award-winning co-writer of “Crash” has delved into various mediums, including as executive producer and director on selected episodes of the Best Picture winner’s TV adaptation. He also notably produced as well as wrote episodes of the cult classic “Millenium.”

The film stars Frank Grillo as Lamborghini; he’s matched with veteran actor Gabriel Byrne as the equally fascinating Ferrari. Mira Sorvino portrays Lamborghini’s second wife, Annita; the actress can be seen in the recent Sharon Horgan creation “Shining Vale.”

Featuring Oscar winners Mira Sorvino and the screenwriter of Crash, this thrilling, high-speed biopic tells the story of genius auto inventor Ferruccio Lamborghini (Frank Grillo, “Kingdom,” “Boss Level”). All his life Ferruccio has dreamed of beating his longtime rival Enzo Ferrari (Gabriel Byrne, “War of the Worlds”)—and the upcoming Geneva Grand Prix could be his chance to blow past Ferrari for good. But can Ferruccio get his untested vehicle prepped for victory with the competition just months away? The race is on!
