Leonardo DiCaprio has been tapped to star in Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi drama, “Inception,” according to Variety. Written and directed by Nolan, the film was set up at Warner Bros. last month and seems to be moving along quickly as DiCaprio is in final negotations. The picture, dubbed a contemporary sci-fi action thriller within the “architecture of the mind,” plans to shoot later this year with a 2010 summer release date (July 16, 2010 to be exact).
While fans are looking forward to “Inception,” and anything Nolan does, the movie will delay the release of the third Batman film, by at least two years. It will be interesting to read their take on a DiCaprio/Nolan collaboration too, but the young actor has really been coming into his own these last two years and it’s a decent fit.
