Lisa Kudrow Says “Hello, Hello, Hello” One Last Time In New Trailer For ‘The Comback’ Season 3

“Hello, hello, hello!” Yes, Lisa Kudrow is back as the always desperate for attention Valerie Cherish. The fictional Hollywood actress returns for a third and final season of the seminal comedy series, “The Comeback,” and HBO has dropped the first complete trailer, which you can find embedded in this post.

Created by Michael Patrick King and Kudrow, the official logline doesn’t reveal much about this season’s storyline, but the preview certainly does. Cherish is starring in a new television sitcom, “How’s that?” and discovers it’s being written by “Al,” aka artificial intelligence. So, no “a**hole writers” to deal with.

The cast officially includes executive producer Dan Bucatinsky as well as Laura Silverman, Damian Young, Tim Bagley, Matt Cook, Jack O’Brien, Ella Stiller, John Early, Barry Shabaka Henley, Abbi Jacobson, Tony Macht, Brittany O’Grady, Zane Phillips, Julian Stern, and Andrew Scott. The trailer teases appearances by Jean Smart and Trixie Mattel.

Robert Michael Morris, who portrayed Cherish’s makeup artist and confidante, Mickey Deane, in the first two seasons, passed away in 2017. Young returns as her overly understanding husband, Mark Berman, and Bucatinsky is back as Billy Stanton, her publicist turned producing partner.

A critics’ favorite, “The Comeback” has earned four Emmy nominations over its two previous seasons, including two Lead Actress in a Comedy Series noms for Kudrow.

“The Comeback” will debut on Sunday, March 22, at 10:30 PM ET on HBO and HBO Max. New episodes will debut weekly until the series finale on May 10.
