'Look Both Ways' Trailer: Lili Reinhart Stars In New Netflix Film About The Drastic Difference One Decision Can Make

The question of “What if?” is something that has been fodder in storytelling forever. Just recently, Marvel Studios made a whole animated superhero series revolving around that simple question. “Look Both Ways” tackles the “What if?” question, but not in a superhero way. Instead, it focuses on a simple fork in the road in a young woman’s life and how it has massive consequences.

As seen in the trailer for “Look Both Ways,” the film follows the story of a young woman who has a one-night stand with a friend. Soon after, she takes a pregnancy test and it’s negative. Or… it’s positive. You see, the film follows two different worlds where that simple pregnancy test caused a huge change in the life of the woman. In one life, she’s single, childless, and living in Los Angeles. In another, she’s pregnant, trying to make it work in a new relationship, and figuring out how to change her ambitions in life as a new mother.

“Look Both Ways” will arrive on Netflix on August 12. You can watch the trailer below.

Here’s the synopsis:

On the eve of her college graduation, Natalie’s [Lili Reinhart] life diverges into parallel realities: one in which she becomes pregnant and remains in her hometown, and another in which she does not and moves to Los Angeles. In both journeys, Natalie experiences life-changing love, pursues her dream career as an artist, and rediscovers herself.
