Michael B. Jordan Vows To Live With "Grace, Courage, & No Regrets" In Tribute To Chadwick Boseman

When “Black Panther” was released in 2018, critics were raving about the film’s acting and for its incredible use of Michael B. Jordan as the main villain, Erik Killmonger. There were some, at the time, that even wondered if Jordan’s performance overshadowed that of Chadwick Boseman. However, in the years that have passed and with Boseman appearing in two ‘Avengers’ films, it’s clear that the character of T’Challa remains the iconic piece to the “Black Panther” puzzle. That being said, Jordan and Boseman will forever be linked because of their roles in that film.

And with the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan took to Instagram to share his tribute to his co-star. Jordan’s full tribute is worth reading, but the part that is hitting many fans hardest is the end, where he said, “I’m more aware now than ever that time is short with people we love and admire. I’m gonna miss your honesty, your generosity, your sense of humor, and incredible gifts. I’ll miss the gift of sharing space with you in scenes. I’m dedicating the rest of my days to live the way you did. With grace, courage, and no regrets. ‘Is this your king!?’ Yes. He. Is! Rest In Power Brother.”

In addition to Jordan, there was also a tribute from Denzel Washington. Though they may not have starred together in anything, Washington played a pivotal role in the career of Boseman. While the “Black Panther” star was still attending classes at Howard University, Washington went out of his way to pay for Boseman and some of his classmates to attend an Oxford acting class in the UK. And because of this, Boseman never shied away from thanking Washington for all he did.

In a statement to EW, Washington said, “He was a gentle soul and a brilliant artist, who will stay with us for eternity through his iconic performances over his short yet illustrious career. God bless Chadwick Boseman.”

Washington and Jordan have joined a number of Hollywood figures to pay tribute to the late actor, who passed away last week after a four-year battle with colon cancer. You can read Jordan’s full statement below.
