'Midnight Mass' Teaser: Mike Flanagan Returns With Another Creepy Netflix Series

Following the surprising breakout success of his indie horror film, “Hush,” Mike Flanagan really established himself as one of the best names in the genre with his Netflix series, “The Haunting of Hill House.” Since then, he’s followed it up with another Netflix series, “The Haunting of Bly Manor” and the Stephen King film adaptation, “Doctor Sleep.” But it appears Flanagan is ready to head back to Netflix for yet another limited series, “Midnight Mass.”

As seen in the teaser for “Midnight Mass,” Flanagan is once again tackling supernatural horror, though it’s still unclear what story he’s trying to tell. The teaser does a great job of showing just how creepy the series is going to be, but it doesn’t reveal much in the way of plot. We only see that there’s a creepy preacher in a creepy town, as one man continues to be haunted by creepy visions. Did we mention how creepy it is?

Flanagan created the series and is the director of the seven episodes. The cast includes Zach Gilford, Hamish Linklater, Kate Siegel, Rahul Abburi, Crystal Balint, Matt Biedel, Alex Essoe, Annarah Cymone, Annabeth Gish, Rahul Kohli, Kristin Lehman, Robert Longstreet, Igby Rigney, Samantha Sloyan, Henry Thomas, and Michael Trucco.
