Season 2 of “Star Trek: Picard” follows the story that began in Season 1, as you might expect. And as the title suggests, the main star is Captain Jean-Luc Picard, played by Patrick Stewart over the decades. This time, the legendary space hero has to deal with the fallout of one of his enemies going back in time, “Back to the Future Part II”-style, to change the past and make the present into a totalitarian nightmare. You know, as villains do.

Joining Stewart in the cast of ‘Picard’ are Alison Pill, Isa Briones, Harry Treadaway, Michelle Hurd, Santiago Cabrera, Evan Evagora, Jeri Ryan, Orla Brady, and Brent Spiner. And Season 2 brings with it a new leader behind the scenes. Replacing outgoing showrunner Michael Chabon is the duo of Akiva Goldsman and Terry Matalas, who are also on board for Season 3, which has already been given the green light.

If it’s not completely obvious by now, Paramount+ loves “Star Trek.” The streaming network features a ton of “Star Trek” content. In addition to ‘Picard,’ you have ‘Discovery,’ ‘Prodigy,’ ‘Strange New Worlds,’ and ‘Lower Decks.’ This is all in addition to whatever else the streaming service and mastermind Alex Kurtzman has up their sleeve.

“Star Trek: Picard’ Season 2 is expected to arrive on Paramount+ on March 3. You can watch the new trailer below.
