'Ramy' Season 3 Trailer: The Award-Winning Hulu Comedy Series Returns On September 30

It’s been more than two years since Season 2 of “Ramy” hit Hulu. Obviously, there are likely plenty of reasons, including a global pandemic, why it’s taken so long for Season 3 to arrive. But it appears that the folks behind “Ramy,” namely star/creative mastermind Ramy Youssef, are using that break as a way to almost relaunch the series and attract folks who maybe haven’t seen the previous episodes.

The trailer for “Ramy” Season 3 is unique, to say the least. It’s structured like a film trailer from 30+ years ago. And in doing so, it perfectly encapsulates why “Ramy” is a show that everyone should watch and why Season 3 is a pretty good jumping on point, even if you haven’t really seen any other seasons. Of course, the idea that you just hop in with Season 3 is silly, as Hulu has every other episode ready to go now. But still, the trailer does a great job of selling the show to new and old viewers alike.

Joining Youssef in the cast are Laith Nakli, Hiam Abbass, Amr Waked, May Calamawy, Dave Merheje, Mohammed Amer, and Steve Way. “Ramy” is written, directed, executive-produced, and created by Youssef.

“Ramy” Season 3 debuts on Hulu on September 30, with all 10 episodes dropping at the same time. You can watch the trailer below.

Here’s the synopsis:

Golden Globe® Award-winning actor Ramy Youssef returns to Hulu for his critically-acclaimed performance in the Hulu Original comedy series “Ramy.” The series follows first-generation, Egyptian-American Ramy Hassan (Youssef) and his family as they navigate spirituality in their politically-divided New Jersey neighborhood. “Ramy” continues to bring a new perspective to the screen as it explores the challenges of what it’s like to be caught between a religious community who believes life is a moral test, and a millennial generation that doubts an afterlife even exists. In the third season, his family is forced to confront having lived a life dedicated to worldly concerns — and in some cases, lies — while Ramy all but abandons his spiritual journey, instead dedicating himself to him and his uncle’s diamond business.
