Ray Fisher Claims Geoff Johns Made A "Threat" Against His Career During 'Justice League' Reshoots

A little more than a month ago, “Justice League” actor Ray Fisher took to social media to say that the reshoots for the DC team-up film were marred by “gross, abusive, unprofessional” behavior by director Joss Whedon and some of the producers. At the time, exact specifics were not known, with Fisher claiming that an NDA was preventing him from speaking more about it. However, he recently tweeted more specific allegations at one of the “Justice League” producers and DC Films execs, Geoff Johns, that do shed light on what Fisher originally claimed.

“During the LA reshoots for Justice League, Geoff Johns summoned me to his office to belittle and admonish my (and my agent’s) attempts to take grievances up the proper chain of command,” Fisher tweeted. “He then made a thinly veiled threat to my career. This behavior cannot continue.”

Geoff Johns, at the time of filming “Justice League,” had been promoted to an executive-level role within DC Films. He has a career in comic book writing and is one of the most beloved writers of DC comics of the past two decades. That being said, his tenure as a film executive was short-lived and he is no longer a member of the leadership working on the various Warner Bros. superhero films.

Again, Fisher’s claims have yet to provide details about exactly what Whedon did that was so terrible that he approached Johns about them. So, it’s unclear why Johns would feel the need to make a “thinly veiled threat” about the young actor’s career. However, if what Fisher said is actually true, this does add to the already dramatic behind-the-scenes situation that plagued “Justice League” during its production.

Of course, we’re far from done talking about “Justice League,” as WarnerMedia recently announced that original director, Zack Snyder, will be given the money to finish his cut of the film, releasing it on HBO Max sometime in 2021.
