'Replicas' Trailer: Keanu Reeves Hacks Life & Death

Bryon Allen‘s fledgling Entertainment Studios Motion Pictures want to be taken seriously, but the first thing they should do is get a new logo, because right now, it looks like the kind of thing that appears before straight-to-DVD fare. With that out of the way, the studio decided to use New York Comic Con as the launchpad for the sci-fi “Replicas” which may be coming #toosoon on the heels of the similarly themed “Flatliners.”

Penned by Stephen Hamel (“Henry’s Crime“) and Chad St. John (“London Has Fallen“), the movie sees Keanu Reeves playing a neuroscientist (whoa!) who hacks life and death with dangerous consequences. Maybe people should start reading “Frankenstein“…. Anyway, here’s the official synopsis:

In this sci-fi thriller, neuro-scientist William Foster is on the verge of successfully transferring human consciousness into a computer when his family is tragically killed in a car crash. Desperate to resurrect them, William recruits fellow scientist Ed Whittle to help him secretly clone their bodies and create replicas. But he soon faces a “Sophie’s choice” when it turns out that they can only bring three of the four family members back to life.

Directed by Jeffrey Nachmanoff (“Chicago Fire,” “Homeland“), and co-starring Thomas Middleditch and Alice Eve, “Replicas” is expected to arrive in cinemas next year.
