Retro Poster: ‘The Limits Of Control’

Jim Jarmusch’s mysterious loner hitman in Spain film, “The Limits Of Control” has a retro poster. It’s a’ight. Not what we imagined, but still more creative than 90% of most banal film one-sheets. There’s not a lot else to say other than what we’ve already judiciously covered. Issach De Bankole stars as hitman whose activities remain meticulously outside the law. What else.

– The film stars also stars Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Gael García Bernal, John Hurt, Paz De La Huerta and lots of international names likeAlex Descas, Youki Kudoh, Hiam Abbass, , Jean-François Stevenín, and Luis Tosar.
– The trailer is moody, ominous and elusive (i.e., we’re psyched).
– doom metal/ambient black enthusiasts Boris, SUNN O))) & Boris, and the early ’90s minimalist drone pioneers Earth are all contributing music to the film (Boris seems to be doing the brunt of the work).
– Venerable Wong Kar-Wai cinematographer Christopher Doyle lensed this one. He’s amazing.
– Jim Jarmusch rules, the film comes out May 22 in limited release. We can’t wait.
– Oh, also, notice how the poster seems to aesthetically mimic the SUNN O))) vibe. Nice.
