How well do you know your best friend? “Ride or Die” explores what happens when our perceptions of someone meet reality. The action-comedy series follows Debbie Claybourne and Judith Burton. Their friendship seems perfect until one’s secret is revealed. Its impact will send the pair into the dangerous world of assassins. ‘Ride’ comes from creator and executive producer Tessa Coates. The performer is part of the Massive Dad sketch comedy group, co-creating a 2016 series based around them. Matt Miller is the showrunner on ‘Ride or Die,’ and Peyton Reed directs.
Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham star in the upcoming series. Academy Award winner Spencer narrated the 2026 documentary series “Lost Women of Alaska.” Emmy winner Waddingham will reprise the role of Rebbeca Welton on the forthcoming season of “Ted Lasso.” Bill Nighy, Ed Skrein, Sylvia Hoeks, Calam Lynch, Savannah Steyn, Jamie Parker, and Jacky Ido round out the “Ride or Die” cast.

The series’ official synopsis:
Ride or Die follows best friends Debbie Claybourne (Octavia Spencer) and Judith Burton (Hannah Waddingham), who thought they knew everything about each other, except Judith turns out to be an international assassin. When a mysterious figure emerges from Judith’s past and a hit goes horribly wrong, both of their worlds are turned upside down as they’re forced to go on the run together. It’s a race against time and a road trip across Europe, with law enforcement, highly trained assassins, and some very dangerous criminals at their heels.
Paramount Television Studios, Amazon MGM Studios, Double Dream, and Orit Entertainment produce “Ride or Die.” The eight-episode series premieres July 15 on Prime Video. Watch the new trailer below.
