Sarah Palin Admits Being Duped By The "Evil" And "Truly Sick" Humor Of Sacha Baron Cohen

His show is still days away, but Sacha Baron Cohen is already making headlines for pissing off politicians. “Who is America?” is Baron Cohen’s latest project, where he dons disguises (not the same personas used in the famous “Da Ali G Show”) and interviews prominent political figures. And one of those figures is not only admitting she was “duped,” but is pretty upset at the whole situation.

Former Alaska Governor and would-be Vice President, Sarah Palin was apparently the target of Baron Cohen’s latest satirical series. And in a lengthy Facebook post, she details how it happened and why she’s so upset.

“Yup – we were duped. Ya’ got me, Sacha. Feel better now?” Palin wrote. “I join a long list of American public personalities who have fallen victim to the evil, exploitive, sick ‘humor’ of the British ‘comedian’ Sacha Baron Cohen, enabled and sponsored by CBS/Showtime.”

And for those who want to know exactly what happened during the segment, Palin describes how Baron Cohen disguised himself as a disabled veteran.

Fair warning, if you don’t want to be spoiled, skip this description from Palin:

“For my interview, my daughter and I were asked to travel across the country where Cohen (I presume) had heavily disguised himself as a disabled US Veteran, fake wheelchair and all. Out of respect for what I was led to believe would be a thoughtful discussion with someone who had served in uniform, I sat through a long ‘interview’ full of Hollywoodism’s disrespect and sarcasm – but finally had enough and literally, physically removed my mic and walked out, much to Cohen’s chagrin. The disrespect of our US military and middle-class Americans via Cohen’s foreign commentaries under the guise of interview questions was perverse.”

Overall, she describes the situation as “truly sick.”

But never one to avoid a chance to be petty, Palin made sure to throw in one last jab at the comedian. “By the way, my daughter thinks you’re a piece of ****, Sacha. Every honorable American Vet should feel the same,” she wrote (she self-censored, but it’s pretty clear she meant to call him a “piece of work,” right?)

For those who want to watch Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest series that’s sure to make headlines, “Who is America?” premieres on Showtime on July 15.
