In the new trailer for “Stan & Ollie,” you get to see how actors Steve Coogan and John C. Reilly completely embrace their roles as Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, respectively. And for Reilly, it is even more incredible considering the sheer amount of prosthetics and makeup he’s under, rendering him almost completely unrecognizable. However, it’s apparent that the two actors are delivering truly captivating performances as the comedy legends.

“Stan & Ollie” comes from director Jon S. Baird, who is probably best known for his film “Filth” starring James McAvoy. However, most recently, the director has dabbled in TV work, directing episodes of “Vinyl” and “I’m Dying Up Here.”

Joining Reilly and Coogan in the cast are Nina Arianda, Shirley Henderson, Danny Huston, and Rufus Jones.

“Stan & Ollie” hits theaters on December 28.
