Folks, we are mere weeks away from “The French Dispatch” finally arriving in theaters. After numerous delays, the long-awaited Wes Anderson film is upon us. And you know what that means? A great soundtrack. But in the case of “The French Dispatch,” not only are we getting a beautiful score, but also a companion album inspired by the film.

According to ABKCO, the company will be releasing not one, but TWO ‘French Dispatch’ albums in time for the feature to debut in theaters. As you might expect, the first is a score album featuring all of the music from award-winning composer, Alexandre Desplat. If you’re a fan of Wes Anderson’s previous work, you’re very familiar with the collaborations with the composer. Desplat is responsible for the scores on films such as “Moonrise Kingdom,” “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” and “Isle of Dogs.” So, we’re expecting nothing less than another spectacular addition to this partnership with “The French Dispatch.”

However, in addition to the score being released, ABKCO will also release a new album from Jarvis Cocker, who provides a cover of the song, “Aline,” for “The French Dispatch.” The new album is a continuation of the partnership between Cocker and Wes Anderson, seeing the two come up with a full album of French covers for the musician to perform. The album, titled “Chansons d’Ennui Tip-Top,” is described as a musical extension of “The French Dispatch.”
