‘The Veil’: Elisabeth Moss To Star In New FX Series From 'Peaky Blinders' Creator Steven Knight

Maybe this is a bit of a hot take, but has FX officially replaced HBO as the premier destination for “prestige” TV, yet? Shows like “Fargo,” “Atlanta,” “What We Do in the Shadows,” and “Mayans M.C.” have been on for years and really showcased the quality that FX strives for. Then you have newer entries like “Reservation Dogs,” “The Bear,” “The Old Man,” and “Dave,” showcasing that FX really is just a non-stop factory of great TV. Well, if FX still has something to prove, adding a new show from Steven Knight starring Elisabeth Moss is a great way to keep the quality top-notch.

According to Variety, FX is developing a new limited series, “The Veil,” which will be written and produced by Steven Knight and will star Elisabeth Moss. The series follows the relationship between two women with completely different motives while on a road trip from Istanbul to Paris and London. One woman has a secret she wants to keep hidden while the other is hellbent on making sure it is revealed so that lives can be saved.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be telling this story, which is truly international and very contemporary,” said Knight. “We have gathered together some of the most talented people in the business. Working with Denise Di Novi is always a pleasure and I’ve wanted to work with Elisabeth Moss for a long time. Of course, FX and I are old friends. I think this will be a landmark television event.”

Nick Grad, president of original programming at FX, added, “We’re excited to continue our partnership with Steven Knight on ‘The Veil’ and thrilled to have Elisabeth Moss sign on for the lead role. Steven’s scripts are riveting and no doubt will showcase Elisabeth’s exceptional talent.”
