20th Century Fox has another potential pint-sized waif scene-stealer alongside Logan’s Laura Kinney/X-23 in Nova (Amiah Miller), the adopted human daughter of ape leader Caesar (Andy Serkis) in “War for the Planet of the Apes.” Watch her introductory clip below.

It will be interesting to see where the final entry of the “’Planet of the Apes’ reboot trilogy will stand in the merciless and bloody coliseum that is summer blockbuster season. Against all odds, including a truly horrendous 2001 remake by Tim Burton starring Marky-Mark Wahlberg, “Planet of the Apes” has shaped up to become one of the more cohesive and critically acclaimed franchises/reboots of the 2010s. We won’t have long to wait and see if ‘Apes’ sticks the landing or goes out like a stink bomb, a la “X-Men: Apocalypse” (my gut is telling me it will be the former rather than the latter). “War for The Planet of the Apes” will be released July 14th, 2017.
