Watch: New Trailer For 'Planes: Fire & Rescue' Brings The Thunder

Planes: Fire & Rescue

Oh sure, you might not have cared about Disney‘s “Planes,” a transparent attempt to continue to spinoff the “Cars” franchise, one of the company’s most successful licensed product brands. But lots of other people did, probably mostly parents with kids. Somewhere along the way, “Planes” quietly earned $219 million worldwide last year, and thus, a new movie series was born with a sequel already coming.

A new trailer has arrived for “Planes: Fire & Rescue,” and it does what it’s supposed to. This time around, the Dane Cook-voiced (shudder) Dusty gives up the racing game to fight brush fires or something, and teams up with super scooper Dipper, heavy-lift helicopter Windlifter, ex-military transport Cabbie and all-terrain vehicles team, The Smokejumpers. And together they have adventures that will sell lunchboxes, pajamas and backpacks forever.

“Planes: Fire & Rescue” arrives on July 18th.
