Watch: Planes & Trains In New Clips From 'World War Z' & 'The Lone Ranger'

nullYes, “Man Of Steel” is now in theaters and still inspiring fierce debate (check out our The Best & Worst Of ‘Man of Steel’ feature), but there are still two whole months left in the summer to go, and more blockbusters are hoping to wring some super-dollars out of your wallet.

First up, and coming this Friday, is Brad Pitt‘s “World War Z,” which is aiming to overcome the bad press surrounding its production and provide a couple hours of entertainment. The results are mixed as you might expect (our review) but it also has a brain and heart to it as well. In this clip from the film, we see Pitt’s U.N. worker Gerry Lane on a flight with a Harvard braniac (Elyes Gabel), as they head off to try and find patient zero and a cure for the zombie outbreak. And as the learned man explains, the solution might be where they least expect it.

Next is a scene from “The Lone Ranger,” the expensive launch of the TV show-based franchise with Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer. Press are starting to see the movie this week, but the verdict is under lock and key for now, but this sequence shows off a small portion of a massive action sequence, that Gore Verbinski handles with ease. The scene is stuck at the tail end of an interview between Hammer and Jay Leno, so you’ll need to jump to the 4 minute mark. The flick opens on July 3rd.
