'Why Can’t We Get Along' Starring Ansel Elgort & Kate Mara

Fashion campaigns usually have lots of money to throw around, resulting in projects like the wild short film “Yo! My Saint,” directed by Amir Lily Amirpour and scored by Karen O. Does this actually translate into sales or brand recognition for whatever fashion house funds these things? I don’t think anyone wants to know the answer, as long as that money keeps backing wild, weird, and cool stuff.

The latest curio from the world of haute couture is “Why Can’t We Get Along.” The musical/experimental/dance short film, commissioned by rag & bone, brings together starts Ansel Elgort and Kate Mara, the cinematography of the great Darius Khondji, and a score by Radiohead‘s Thom Yorke. Directed by Benjamin Millepied, Aaron Duffy, and Bob Partington, and featuring artists from American Ballet Theater, HipLet Ballerinas, Bulletrun Parkour, and more, the result is actually pretty damn dazzling. It’s dizzying, visually eye-popping stuff that’s worth watching on as big a screen as you can. We can’t quite put it into words, but you certainly won’t regret clicking play on this one.
