5 TV Spots For Christopher Nolan's 'Dunkirk' Reveal New Footage

While rumors have been circulating that Christopher Nolan‘s “Dunkirk” might premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, the director himself ruled out that talk himself last week at CinemaCon. Speaking with the Associated Press, the filmmaker revealed his World War II simply wouldn’t be ready in time, so it’ll be a while yet before critics will be able to weigh in on the epic movie. But we do have a peek at fresh footage, as five new TV spots emerged over weekend for “Dunkirk.”

Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Fionn Whitehead, Aneurin Barnard, Harry Styles, James D’Arcy, Jack Lowden, Barry Keoghan, and Tom Glynn-Carneys are key personnel in the ensemble for this film, which tells the story of the titular battle from land, sea, and air, in a film that might not be Nolan’s most twisty to date, but certainly his most ambitious. It’s definitely going to be something more substantive than your usual summer fare.

“Dunkirk” opens on July 21st. [The Harry Daily]
