Casting: Lizzy Caplan Joins 'Now You See Me 2,' Steve McQueen's HBO Pilot Lands Lead & More

The actress joins Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Mark Ruffalo, and Daniel Radcliffe in the Jon M. Chu-helmed sequel. The Newbery Honor and Golden Kite award-winning book by Karen Cushman follows the life of a young woman in 1290. According to Dunham, it’s bracing stuff. "[She] gets her period and her father basically says, ‘Well, it’s time for you to get married,’ and she’s like, ‘Uh, no,’" Dunham said. "But it’s hyper realistic and really pretty and it’s full of incest and beatings, but it’s a child’s story. I’ve been obsessed with it since I was a kid." [The Huffington Post]

Steve McQueen is headed to HBO with "Codes Of Conduct," and he’s booked the lead actor, newcomer Devon Terrell. Penned by Matthew Michael Carnahan, the show follows "Beverly Snow, a young man from Queens as talented as he is ambiguous. His self-confidence will enable him to break into the social circles of Manhattan’s elite, testing the boundaries of access and social mobility. Throughout the series, Beverly’s ability will grant him access to a life larger in every way than the one to which he was born.
