“Tuner”
Daniel Roher’s narrative debut “Tuner” stars Leo Woodall (“One Day,” “The White Lotus”) as a gifted young pianist who seeks out a legendary but reclusive teacher (Dustin Hoffman). Their lessons soon become a psychological battle over control and ambition. Havana Rose Liu (“Mayday,” “No Exit”) plays the student’s partner, caught between encouragement and alarm. Jean Reno appears as a rival maestro, Lior Raz as a patron with ulterior motives, and Tovah Feldshuh as a family confidante. The story builds around the high stakes of performance and obsession.
“Ghost Elephants”
German madman auteur Werner Herzog’s latest documentary follows conservationist Dr. Steve Boyes on an expedition through the Okavango and Angola highlands, retracing routes once traveled by elephant herds that have now vanished. Mixing new field footage with archival film and Herzog’s narration, the story moves between landscapes scarred by war, ghostly memories of wildlife, and the local communities still shaped by their absence.

“Cover-Up,”
Directed by Laura Poitras (“Citizenfour”) and Mark Obenhaus, “Cover-Up” is a nonfiction portrait of Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist Seymour Hersh. The film traces Hersh’s investigations, from exposing the My Lai massacre to challenging official accounts of more recent conflicts. Through archival material and extensive interviews, the documentary examines his pursuit of hidden truths and the resistance he faced from governments and media institutions.

“Jay Kelly”
Noah Baumbach’s latest dramedy, co-written with actress Emily Mortimer, follows famed actor Jay Kelly (George Clooney) and his devoted manager Ron (Adam Sandler) on a whirlwind trip across Europe. As they visit cities and promotional events, the journey becomes unexpectedly reflective—prompting both men to confront their past decisions, relationships, and the legacies they’ll leave behind. The ensemble includes Laura Dern as a publisher, Riley Keough as Jay’s daughter, plus Billy Crudup, Greta Gerwig, Jim Broadbent, Patrick Wilson, Eve Hewson, Emily Mortimer, Isla Fisher, and others, who collectively inform the emotional reflection embedded in this road‑trip odyssey.
“Nouvelle Vague”
Richard Linklater’s “Nouvelle Vague” dramatizes the rise of the French New Wave. Guillaume Marbeck portrays Jean-Luc Godard during the making of “Breathless,” with Zoey Deutch as Jean Seberg and Aubry Dullin as Jean-Paul Belmondo. Adrien Rouyard plays François Truffaut, Bruno Dreyfürst is producer Georges de Beauregard, and the ensemble includes actors as Claude Chabrol and Jacques Rivette. The film traces friendships, rivalries, and the struggles to get a radical new style of filmmaking onto screens.
