Writer John Logan Says Themes From 'Skyfall' Will Continue In 'Bond 24,' Script Nearly Finished

“No comment.” That was screenwriter John Logan‘s frequent response to Empire, who recently caught up with the Bond scribe, and prodded him for details about the follow-up to the billion dollar-busting “Skyfall.” Will it be two-parts as once rumored (and then denied by Daniel Craig)? How about other double-0 agents? Logan isn’t saying, but he did share a tease about the overall shape of the story of “Bond 24,” which is nearing the finish line.

“Right now the first draft is almost done,” Logan said. “I’m terrifically excited about it! I’ve been working very closely with Sam [Mendes], and it’s been joyous to pick up from our work on ‘Skyfall’ and just continue on with the storytelling. The new movie continues the themes of ‘Skyfall.’ Some of the characters and themes that we began to introduce in Skyfall will play out, I hope successfully, in the next movie.”

So, more broken, damaged, getting-his-mojo-back Bond? Another tale set against the backdrop of global terrorism? Possibly! As you might expect, things are going to be kept in the dark for a while, but Logan promises one thing: “You ain’t seen nothing yet!”

“Bond 24” arrives on November 6, 2015.
