It’s not summer if something isn’t blown up or wrecked beyond all recognition, and for those who like their popcorn slathered in butter, their sodas ice cold, and their movies big and not too complicated, "San Andreas" will hit the multiplex sweet spot. And Warner Bros. is providing the aftershocks with a handful of new clips.

Again, this movie isn’t taxing on the brain: Dwayne Johnson stars as a helicopter rescue pilot who has to use his skills to uh, rescue, his estranged wife and daughter (Carla Gugino and Alexandra Daddario) when the mother of all earthquakes rocks California. The reason I’m going to watch is for the always reliable Paul Giamatti, whose panicked earthquake expert constantly updates everyone on how terrible everything is.
