While "Fifty Shades Of Grey" is perhaps the unlikeliest movie to screen at this year’s Berlin International Film Festival, it’s not the only non-cinephile, mainstream-attracting flick unspooling. Disney is unveiling "Cinderella" at the fest, and perhaps in anticipation of the reviews that will drop shortly, they are getting ahead of the game with a batch of new clips and images for the live action fairy tale.
Kenneth Branagh directs this latest iteration of the story, which finds Lily James working her knuckles to the bone under mean ol’ Cate Blanchett. But traditionally handsome prince Richard Madden awaits. So too does a destiny involving a glass slipper, and we all know how this turns out. The only question is whether we needed a CGI enhanced version of "Cinderella," when the classic 1950 flick is just fine.
"Cinderella" arrives on March 13th. Check out three clips below, another one over at EW, plus a plethora of new pics.
