‘Avengers Infinity War’: 3 More Potential Cameos, The Giant Budget Revealed & More

We have reached the point in the Disney/MarvelAvengers: Infinity War” Hype Machine where the actors are doing their press junkets. Based on the sheer size of the cast, secrets and news was bound to slip out of the mouths of these actors. And it looks like Sebastian Stan was one of the first Avengers to fall victim to the dreaded “verbal vomit.”

During an interview with the Independent, Stan let out that there is one scene in particular in ‘Infinity War’ where they have pulled together “everybody.” Now, he prefaces by saying he can’t name names but then proceeds to do just that.

“There was one scene, I think, we had where everybody was there. I can’t really talk about that scene, but I knew it took them three months in planning this scene to have everyone there,” he said. “You look around and you just saw everyone from Samuel L. Jackson to Michael Douglas to Michelle Pfeiffer. Everybody was there.”

Jackson, Douglas, and Pfeiffer? Well, those three names are three that have been conveniently left out of the cast list of this film. Now, there’s always the off-chance that Stan was talking about “Avengers 4,” but in the context, it sure does sound like he was talking about ‘Infinity War.’ So, keep an eye out for this incredible scene, and specifically for those three amazing actors.

Now, even though Sebastian Stan is naming names of guest stars we weren’t sure were showing up in the film, he fails to mention one of the actors that we do know is in the film – Peter Dinklage. Let’s take a trip back in time to January 2017, when we first found out that Dinklage was signing on to appear in ‘Infinity War.’ At the time, we posited that he might play Uatu, aka The Watcher. However, we quickly found out, thanks to “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” that wasn’t the case.

Since then, we have been wondering what his role might be. That’s when a new clip for ‘Infinity War’ was released and Screen Rant couldn’t help but notice that one of Thanos’ henchmen in the Black Order, Corvus Glaive, sounds an awful lot like Tyrion from “Game of Thrones.” Check out the clip below to judge for yourself. If true, and considering the Carrie Coon announcement, then it looks like even the henchmen in the film have serious star power.

Lastly, it seems like perhaps Disney needs all the star power they can get to make a profit on this film. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that “Avengers: Infinity War” is going to end up tied for the 2nd-most expensive production in Hollywood history, with a budget of approximately $300 million. Believe it or not, $300 million is still well below the record budget, which is $378.5 million for “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.” Yeah, that surprised us too.

We may have been a little hyperbolic by saying Disney needed help in turning a profit on this film. Early estimates put the opening anywhere from $200 – $250 million. This film will have zero issue breaking $1 billion worldwide and will easily turn a profit for the studio. However, that $300 million production budget just goes to show that putting together ‘Infinity War’ (and “Avengers 4,” for that matter) was truly no easy feat and a win just by itself.

“Avengers: Infinity War” opens April 27.

Here’s the (maybe) Peter Dinklage clip. Judge for yourself:

Oh, and since we’re sharing clips, here’s a couple more ‘Infinity War’ clips to get you even more hyped:

And, finally, since there haven’t been very many posters for this film yet (at last count, we’re at about 287), here are several more posters that combine to form a pretty awesome banner (no pun intended):
