Got a Tip?

Josh Brolin To Star As A Self-Help Guru Version Of Himself In ‘The Untitled Josh Brolin Project’

Josh Brolin is having a hell of a 2018. Starring as the big bad in one of the biggest movies of all-time, “Avengers: Infinity War,” the actor kept the hot streak going a few weeks later when he starred alongside Ryan Reynolds in “Deadpool 2.” Now, on the heels of two massive films, Brolin is coming back to the big screen in “Sicario: Day of the Soldado,” which by early reactions seems to be a worthy successor to the popular first film.

But that trifecta of films isn’t all that Brolin has on his plate. In a new feature on the actor in the New York Times, it is revealed that Brolin just sold a TV show to Hulu – “The Untitled Josh Brolin Project.” Now, before you start thinking that’s just a working title, and surely, it’ll get changed before release, that’s not the case at all. In fact, the series will keep that name, and for good reason – Brolin is playing a version of himself.

NYT describes the show as being about “a soulless movie star named Josh Brolin who leaves Hollywood, has an ayahuasca trip and becomes a self-help guru.” This isn’t the first time a high-profile Hollywood figure has portrayed a skewed version of themselves, but even still, ‘Untitled’ sounds pretty awesome. And if you’ve seen Brolin in his most recent interviews for those aforementioned big-budget spectacle films, you’d know that the actor loves making jokes and has a wicked sense of humor.

There’s no word on when we might see “The Untitled Josh Brolin Project” come to the streaming service. Clearly, this is still in the very early stages. However, it’s only a matter of time because whatever Brolin touches, recently, turns to gold.
