In a massive ensemble such as “The White Lotus,” not every actor will hear their name on Emmy nomination morning. And, even Blackpink fans knew that Lalisa Manobal was always a long shot for recognition. That being said, like the first two seasons of Mike White’s massive hit, nearly every major character in the ensemble was recognized, the show earning 23 nominations this season.

Competing in the supporting categories, Parker Posey, Aimee Lou Wood, Carrie Coon, and Natasha Rothwell were recognized in the Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category. Michelle Monaghan, Leslie Bibb and Sarah Catherine Hook sadly did not cross the finish line in a seven-nominee field. This is Coon’s third acting nomination and Rothwell’s second (she was also nominated in the Drama Series category for “Insecure”). This is also Posey’s second nom after a Guest Actress in a Drama Series nod for “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” a year ago.
In the Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category, Jason Isaacs, Walton Goggins, and Sam Rockwell earned nominations. Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sam Nivola, Jon Griest, and Tayme Thapthimthong did not. Scott Glenn earned a Guest Actor nomination in a Drama Series. These are Goggins’ and Rockwell’s third nominations, and Isaacs’ first.
Notably, none of this year’s “White Lotus” nominees have previously won an Emmy in any category. Considering Jennifer Coolidge’s two wins and Murray Bartlett’s trophy, will that change on September 14?
Overall, “The White Lotus” has now earned 66 nominations over three seasons. It has 15 wins to date, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series in 2022. The HBO Max series has already been renewed for a fourth season.
The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+ on September 14 at 5 PM PT, 8 PM ET.
