Filmmaker Noah Baumbach‘s latest effort, “Jay Kelly,” is getting a limited theatrical release on November 14 before the movie lands an exclusive streaming debut on Netflix, come December 5, and the streaming service has shared a new trailer for the industry pic that sees actors George Clooney and Adam Sandler (also known for their working relationship with Netflix) paired up in the roles of an aging movie star and manager as the two navigate the film industry.
Baumbach, who previously helmed “Marriage Story” and “White Noise” for the streamer, directs from a script that he co-wrote with notable British actress Emily Mortimer.

“Jay Kelly,” the new film from Academy Award nominee Noah Baumbach, follows famous movie actor, Jay Kelly (George Clooney), as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery, confronting both his past and present, accompanied by his devoted manager Ron (Adam Sandler). Poignant and humor-filled, epic and intimate, “Jay Kelly” is pitched at the intersection of life’s regrets and notable glories.
The rest of the cast of “Jay Kelly” features a group of actors such as Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Grace Edwards, Stacy Keach, Jim Broadbent, Patrick Wilson, Eve Hewson, Greta Gerwig, Alba Rohrwacher, Josh Hamilton, Lenny Henry, Nicôle Lecky, Thaddea Graham, Isla Fisher, Louis Partridge, Charlie Rowe, and Mortimer.
Newly minted “Bond 26” overseers Amy Pascal and David Heyman are producing “Jay Kelly” alongside Baumbach.
