Courtesy of Sofia Coppola devotees, I Heart Sofia, two behind the scenes photographs have been unveiled from the production of Coppola’s “Somewhere,” featuring leads Stephen Dorff and Elle Fanning.
Shot by Melodie McDaniel, evidently a regular photographer of film and music industry talent, the stills depict Fanning and Dorff in a car and Dorff presumably in his trailer going over the film’s script.
We’ll be the first to admit they’re pretty tame but, at this stage, we’ll take anything we can get from one of our most anticipated films of the year. The film centers on a bad-boy Hollywood actor (Dorff) amidst a personal crisis, who finds a new lease for life when his estranged 11-year-old daughter (Fanning) surprises him with a visit to his transient L.A. life.
Co-starring will be the likes of Benicio Del Toro, Erin Wasson, Chris Pontius from ‘Jackass,’ Michelle Monaghan, Laura Ramsey, Caitlin Keats, a few Italian models/actresses (Nino Frassica, Simona Ventura, Valeria Marini and Laura Chiatti), indie-rockers Rooney, Playboy bunnies Karissa and Kristina Shannon and Australian musicians The Veronicas who are rumored to be acting or contributing music along with Phoenix’s Thomas Mars.
‘Somewhere” will probably hit late in the fall but don’t be surprised if it finds it’s way this May to Cannes, where Coppola’s “Marie Antoinette” was infamously booed.
