If it ain’t broke… After pairing up to work with David Fincher on the scores for “The Social Network” (which won them an Oscar) and “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” (which should’ve been nominated), the director is once again turning to Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross to give his next film a distinctive chill.
The Nine Inch Nails frontman confirmed on Twitter today that he’ll once again be working with Ross, with the duo providing the score to Fincher’s “Gone Girl“:
and yes, Atticus and I are scoring David Fincher’s upcoming Gone Girl!

Is there anything else you need to know? Reznor and Ross have become a welcome and regular flavor to Fincher’s recent films, with their minimal, cold but still affecting work adding a unique and individual texture to the stories, whether they be about a tech dweeb turned tech mogul, or tech dweeb turned investigator. But there will be no dweebs in “Gone Girl,” with Reznor and Ross’ work sure to capture the boiling tension of the story of a man (Ben Affleck) accused in the disappearance of his wife.
