Killer Croc Actor Doesn't See A Reason To Come Back To 'Suicide Squad' After Buying A Bentley

Recently, James Gunn shared a graphic on his social media that outlined the enormous cast that he’s put together for his upcoming “The Suicide Squad.” Though it’s being described as a soft reboot of the franchise, which was launched in 2016 from writer-director David Ayer, there are plenty of names that are returning for the pseudo-sequel. However, one name that wasn’t on the list is Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who recently explained why he has no interest in putting on the Killer Croc costume ever again.

Speaking to Yahoo, Akinnuoye-Agbaje talked about his time working on Ayer’s “Suicide Squad” and is grateful that he took the job. But don’t expect him to return for Gunn’s sequel or any future DC Comics projects. Why? Well, he did the comic book thing and is fine with never doing it again. But at least the pay was good.

“I don’t think I need to [do it again], to be honest,” he explained. “I did it, I enjoyed it, it bought me a Bentley and I will keep moving on.”

With A-listers falling over themselves to get a piece of the ever-growing superhero movie pie, it’s interesting to see someone who appeared in a very profitable comic book film simply just brush off any talk of doing it again. Obviously, we don’t know if he was offered to return in Gunn’s film, nor if he was ever considered for a part, but still, it appears that Akinnuoye-Agbaje is perfectly content with driving his Bentley and never putting on pounds of prosthetics again.

That being said, one can’t help but wonder if his tune might change if Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios come knocking on his door. While “Suicide Squad” was profitable, it was far from acclaimed by critics, so the possibility of joining the beloved Marvel Cinematic Universe might be an offer too good to refuse.

But then again, Akinnuoye-Agbaje is probably focused right now on filmmaking, as he’s the writer-director of the upcoming film “Farming,” which just hit theaters this past weekend.
