Andy Samberg & Zachary Quinto Joining 'What's Your Number'

When it was formally announced that Chris Evans was taking on the title role in Marvel’s “The First Avenger: Captain America,” it seemed that the actor might have a conflict with “What’s Your Number?,” a romantic comedy in which the actor is starring alongside Anna Faris. In fact, the latter starts shooting in May, which EW reports will leave the actor plenty of time before he dons the shield.

The plot revolves around Ally (Faris), a woman who discovers she’s slept with twice the national average of people, and decides to track down her twenty exes, in the hope of finding the one and enlists the help of her sleazy, womanizing neighbor (Evans) in her quest. Ari Graynor (“Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist”) is also attached, playing Faris’ sister. EW has also revealed some additional casting on the project – “Saturday Night Live” star Andy Samberg is now attached to the project, and Zachary Quinto is in negotiations.

Assuming the script hasn’t undergone major rewrites since we read it, there are only two ex-boyfriend roles of any significant size (more than one scene), and one’s already been taken by “White Collar” star Matt Bomer, so our guess is that one will be playing Tom Fenton, a congressman’s chief of staff. Having said that, the script may have been retooled, and the parts could end up being very different. Filming starts in May, under the eye of Mark Mylod (“Entourage”).
