Aziz Ansari Learns Life Lessons Again In New Trailer For 'Master Of None' Season 2

At the end of the first season of “Master Of None,” Aziz Ansari‘s Dev finds himself at a crossroads, and takes off for Italy to take a pasta-making course, and when the second season picks up, we’ll join him abroad. But like everything in else in the winning dramedy, the trip to Italy is one that has been well thought through by the writers.

“One thing we want to do is, for whatever portion is set in Italy, we want to take advantage of where we are and make sure we’re telling a story that necessitates being told in Italy and takes advantage of the differences between the [Italian and American] cultures. I’m not saying we’re doing a bunch of culture-clash misunderstanding stuff, but we’d be crazy to shoot there and not take advantage of that thematically and aesthetically,” co-showrunner Alan Yang told THR last year. But don’t worry, Dev will eventually find his way home. Here’s the official synopsis:

After traveling abroad, Dev (Aziz Ansari) returns to New York to take on challenges in his personal and family life, a new career opportunity, and a complex, developing relationship with someone very meaningful to him.

“Master Of None” season two debuts on May 12th.
