Speaking to E! News back in May, Rose spoke about how excited she was to play the part. “I love comics; I had done research. I love Caroline [Dries] I love Greg Berlanti and Sarah [Schechter]. So, I was really excited, as a job, as I would be with any role, but it wasn’t until, I think, everyone was talking about it, and everyone was asking me about it, and my friends with kids were like, ‘Oh my god, they’re going to dress up like Batwoman,’ and then I realized how big it was.”

“You so rarely get the opportunity to make a meal of a character. Alice is all over the place,” Rachel Skarsten, who plays the villain Alice told EW. The first look teaser released this week and which you can see below, features her antagonist character. “One minute she’s murdering someone, and the next minute she’s making a joke, and then she’s crying, and then she’s asking if you have a burger.”

The new CW series also stars Dougray Scott (“Taken 3”), Meagen Tandy (“Teen Wolf”) and Camrus Johnson, who appeared in Marvel’s Luke Cage for a couple of episodes. The series is developed by Caroline Dries and Greg Berlanti, one of the co-creators of CW’s Arrowverse. While early reviews weren’t kind, the movie is back at a respectable 73% on Rotten Tomatoes so perhaps that’ll be enough for fans of these kinds of shows.
