‘Becky’ Trailer: Kevin James Is A Neo-Nazi Battling A 13-Year-Old Girl In This “Die Hard”-Esque Thriller

Die Hard” will forever be a part of the Mount Rushmore of action films. The 1988 film is a classic that spawned a million copycats, which can all be described as “‘Die Hard’ on a…” Not to be sacrilegious, but the upcoming thriller, “Becky,” takes some of the tropes that “Die Hard” made famous and adds some things that could potentially make it even better—specifically, Kevin James as a neo-Nazi and a 13-year-old girl doing her best John McClane.

As seen in the new trailer for Becky, the film follows a young girl that is brought to a lake house by her dad. She’s not too pleased about this trip because it also forces her to interact with her dad’s newest girlfriend, leading the young Becky to run away to the woods. But when a racist, neo-Nazi (James) is out looking for a missing key, he takes the family hostage and only teenage Becky can help. It sounds ridiculous. And It surely is. But damn, it looks fun as hell.

The film stars Kevin James, Lulu Wilson, Joel McHale, Amanda Brugel, and Robert Maillet. “Becky” is directed by Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott, who are probably best known for their underrated horror-comedy, “Cooties,” and most recently directed the film “Bushwick.”
